About NZ China Direct

NZ China Direct Ltd has been established with the specific goal of helping NZ exporters to enter the China market via an exciting New Zealand Store, based in Nanjing "Rotorua Town".

NZ China Direct Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of EROS Capital Ltd, a Rotorua based project development and venture capital company.

EROS Capital Ltd is owned by Phillip (Phil) and Martin (Marty) Verry, who also own Red Stag Timber Ltd, New Zealand’s largest sawmill.

NZ China Direct Ltd is exclusively contracted to supply suitable products to the Nanjing ‘Rotorua Town' Development. Over the next few months, we will be working closely with our Chinese partners, Nanjing Moon Building Group, and Rotorua District Council to ensure the opening of a store stocking New Zealand products in July 2008.

In addition to the Nanjing store, New Zealand China Direct plans to develop an in-market presence, with a Shanghai office scheduled to open in July 2008.

Phillip (Phil) Verry - Executive Chairman
Phil Verry, is also executive chairman of Waipa Corporation Ltd, Red Stag Timber Ltd and EROS Capital Ltd. He was a former senior partner in the Wellington office of the business services firm now known as PriceWaterhouse Coopers and was the inaugural chairman of NZ Wood Innovations (Asia) Inc. He has extensive professional and commercial experience.

Martin (Marty) Verry - Director
Marty Verry, co-founder and managing director of iStart Ltd, Auckland, New Zealand’s business portal on the internet, and director of Waipa Corporation Ltd and Red Stag Timber Ltd.

Management

Mark Rawson - General Manager
Mark has experience in both the public and private sectors, moving to EROS Capital Ltd from the role of General Manager, Destination Rotorua Economic Development. Mark has held a number of governance positions including national executive member of the Economic Development Association of NZ, Chairman of Film Volcanic, Director of NZ BIZ Networks Ltd (www.biz.org.nz) and executive member of Rotorua Chamber of Commerce. Mark has a well developed understanding of the China market, and an established public and private sector network in China.

Kirstine Jolly - Project Manager
Kirstine has an Marketing MBA and B.Comm, along with skills and experience in marketing, communications, strategic market and business planning, capital raising, branding, R&D, technology development, market process integration, IP and business development. Kirstine has taken time out from her own Marketing consultancy business to manage the development of this project.
