Who is running the NZ China Direct Project...?

A fulltime Project Manager has been appointed by the General Manager of NZ China Direct to organize the store design and stocking.

I'm already exporting to China - why should I join your project...?

If you have already invested in entering the China market, then you are already in a strong position to take advantage of this opportunity! The new New Zealand Store in Nanjing may be a great new outlet for your products as it is well positioned to attract many wealthy Chinese visitors.

I am not at the point of having my product ready for export yet, can NZ China Direct Help me…?

Do you provide exporting opportunities to other countries...?

The Nanjing store is the prototype. Success in Nanjing may well underpin similar opportunities in other locations. By partnering with NZ China Direct at this early stage, your business will be well positioned to take advantage of these other opportunities as they present themselves.

Will I have an exclusive agreement within my industry with the NZ China Direct Project...?

No, NZ China Direct will not be offering any supplier exclusivity in this project. It is our intention to export a broad range of high quality, well presented and supported New Zealand products to this Nanjing store. 

How is the Retail shop currently funded...?

The retail shop is funded by Eros Capital Ltd, a New Zealand based project development and venture capital company, in conjunction with Nanjing Moon Property developers.

Do you have a license or agreement to trade into China or a local Chinese agent...?

NZ China Direct Ltd holds exclusive supply rights to the Nanjing “Rotorua Town” commerce street  through a tripartite agreement between NZ China Direct Ltd, Rotorua District Council and Nanjing Moon Building Company, who are 50% owned by the Chinese Government. NZ China Direct Ltd will be supplying Nanjing Moon Building Company directly, and they will be the China based retail company. There are no agents involved.

Can I get NZTE funding to help participate with the NZ China Direct Project...?
