• The goods sought are generally recognized to be less expensive in China
• Tight product specifications and quality parameters can be readily agreed
• Orders are in excess of $20 000 and/or have the potential to grow to full container volume
• Repeat business is envisaged (one-off business will only be undertaken in exceptional circumstances)
• The goods fit within the sector specialization of NZ China Direct, being construction or manufacturing (NZCD does not import consumer goods)
  

How it works

NZ China Direct deploys a four step process to import goods from China, we:

• need a detailed description of the goods required, including a target price for the goods and detailed specifications. The client signs off a product sourcing brief and authorizes NZ China Direct to search for these goods on its behalf.
• conduct an in-market search and contact our trade partners to locate suitable suppliers in China. The results of this search process are discussed with the NZ client. Samples and further information are sought and provided back to New Zealand
• due diligence will be conducted on the supplier company, including a factory visit to understand their quality control procedures
• preliminary pricing information is provided, prior to securing shipping quotes for delivery to New Zealand.
• final pricing, quantity and delivery terms are negotiated and contracted with the New Zealand customer
• quality control procedures are put in place in China for each shipment, in accordance with our contract with the New Zealand customer.
